Core Programs

Four paths, one tradition

Each program below is taught live by our own faculty and run on a contribution basis. Enrollment for every course happens through our own sign-up form — here's what each path actually involves.

01

Bhakti Yoga

Structured, scripture-based study of the Bhagavad Gita, Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, and Caitanya Caritāmṛta, taught from foundational verses through advanced commentary. Our flagship course, Bhakti Shastri, is offered entirely free of tuition — students who pass an entrance test are admitted at zero upfront cost, with voluntary contributions welcomed from those who are able, so that cost is never the barrier to entry. Coursework runs through a learning platform that manages assignments, oral and written testing, and progress tracking.

  • Who it's for: Sincere beginners through advanced students wanting structured scriptural grounding, not casual browsing.
  • Format & length: Live weekly classes with assignments and testing; Bhakti Shastri runs on a multi-month cycle.
  • After completion: Students can progress into the 14-level Śāstric Studies Program or continue as active community teachers.

School of Love

Courses on marriage, conscious parenting, and spiritual family life, including a Diploma in Krishna Conscious Parenting and a Diploma in Married Life. These are built for couples and families who want their household routine — not just their private practice — rooted in Vedic values, and cover everything from communication and conflict to raising children with a spiritual foundation.

  • Who it's for: Couples, parents, and engaged individuals seeking a values-based approach to family life.
  • Format & length: Diploma-style courses run over several months, combining live sessions with practical exercises.
  • After completion: Graduates often move into mentoring newer couples or joining family-life volunteer initiatives.

Vedic Lifestyle

Practical training in daily Vedic practice, taught through short, focused courses — recent offerings have covered transcending the mind's lower states, handling envy and competition in daily life, and common Vastu mistakes in the home. Rather than abstract theory, this path is about bringing scripture into ordinary decisions: how a home is arranged, how a day is structured, how relationships are handled.

  • Who it's for: Anyone wanting practical, day-to-day guidance rather than a long academic commitment.
  • Format & length: Short-form live sessions, typically single classes or brief multi-week series.
  • After completion: Students often continue into Bhakti Yoga courses for deeper scriptural study.

Śāstric Studies Program

A structured, four-year curriculum across fourteen progressive levels, for students who want sustained, sequential scriptural study rather than standalone courses. Students move level by level from foundational text to advanced commentary, with the same cohort of teachers accompanying them across the full four years.

  • Who it's for: Committed students ready for a multi-year course of scriptural study, often after completing Bhakti Shastri.
  • Format & length: Fourteen sequential levels over four years, with testing and progression at each stage.
  • After completion: Graduates are equipped to teach, lead study groups, or continue into specialized Sanskrit and commentary work.

Beyond the Courses

Why this is a nonprofit, not a course catalog

Every course listed above exists because of Vedavarsity Foundation's charitable purpose, not the other way around. Contributions and donations fund scholarships for students who enroll at zero cost, support volunteer teachers who give their time rather than charge tuition, and pay for translation work that makes these courses accessible beyond English and Hindi speakers. Our broader work — community seminars, outreach to underserved communities, and the ongoing preservation of Vedic knowledge for future generations — is detailed on our mission page and impact page.

How access works

Every course is offered on a contribution basis: students give what they can, and no one is turned away for inability to pay. This is made possible by donor support — see our donation page to learn how contributions are used, or our FAQ for common questions about enrollment, cost, and course format.
